This wouldn’t exactly be a fair “Wealthy Affiliate Review” article if I didn’t include opinions other than my own in it.
So, I collected an assortment of the most relevant and recent reviews from BetterBusinessBureau.com, TrustPilot.com and WealthyAffiliate.com for your consideration...
This complaint saddens me. It saddens me because whomever this person signed up under could not help them. Or, this person did not know “how” to ask for help.
Remember, asking better questions gets you better answers.
Ultimately though, Wealthy Affiliate responded and resolved this matter. That sounds like good customer service to me. WA could not have responded at all.
Confused complainant, maybe?
At least WA provided options where there might not have been otherwise. Reading through the Wealthy Affiliate terms of service regarding refund policy, it states…
“Subscription to Wealthy Affiliate Premium and Paid Services are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis (as per the option you have chosen when you purchased Services) and are non-refundable for the subscription period they are purchased for.“ … “You may elect to cancel your Wealthy Affiliate Premium account at any time by following the steps outlined within your Account Settings. If you subscribed to a yearly plan, any cancellation will only be effective at the end of the then-current annual billing period and no credits or refunds will be issued to you for prepaid fees.”
This is why WA provides users with a free Starter membership first, so people can test the platform and avoid any sort of "buyers remorse" later on.
You’re a free member for as long as you like. You get to view lessons, engage with others and build two free websites.
Then when you're ready, Premium membership opens up new levels of training for maintaining and scaling your new passive income, website business system.
This complaint looks like a case of miscommunication. Sometimes life gets in the way and we have to push opportunity to the wayside.
Technology doesn't always work like it's supposed to either and important emails sometimes wind up in the spam box.
Still it's good to know, that even though there's over 800,000+ active accounts for WA to manage, all anyone has to do is send a Private Message to support from inside of Wealthy Affiliate to get matters worked out with a real live person.
Ultimately, it looks like this complaint was resolved to the complainants' satisfaction.
This is why it’s so important to read a company’s terms of services before clicking the final buy button.
But our reptile brain doesn't always do as it should.
Which probably explains why I’m stuck with a timeshare in Clearlake, Florida 🙄

To distinguish between the bessssst from worssssst providers, I use this acronym:
Wealthy Affiliate has been around since 2005 and that one fact alone should tell you, WA understands technology by now.
The response provided by Wealthy Affiliate definitely answered, JD’s question about other “web hosting deals” … and why they’re not deals at all!
I fell into this trap once before when I first started out online in 2009. I chose the least expensive, Bluehost shared hosting plan and it came back to bite me on the butt - HARD.
A handful of websites I had spent weeks building had all fallen victim to being hacked, and literally over night, all the pages and content had been wiped out.
Cheap hosting doesn’t come with support either, so I lost everything.
That’s when I learned my lesson about investing in secure, speedy, supportive, spendy, service oriented web hosting.
Web design is a tricky skill to learn. I never thought I’d develop a knack for it, but with help and practice, I’ve been able to develop many new skills.
In fact, I designed most of this website myself.
